Summary
Dose Doubler does not collect personal information, does not require an account, and does not track you across other apps or websites. The app uses anonymous analytics, crash reporting, and shows ads (which can be removed via in-app purchase). Details below.
What is stored on your device
Your game progress is saved locally using iOS UserDefaults and never leaves your device. This includes:
- Best score and highest tier reached
- Daily Challenge streak and today's best score
- Cross-run stats (runs played, total merges, longest chain, tier distribution)
- Sound, haptics, theme, and difficulty preferences
- Whether you've seen the in-game tutorial
- Owned themes and Remove Ads purchase status (also synced via Apple's StoreKit)
Uninstalling the app erases the device-local copy. We have no copy of it.
Analytics (Firebase Analytics)
Dose Doubler uses Google's Firebase Analytics SDK to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data — for example: when a run starts and ends, which difficulty was chosen, which theme is active, whether a power-up was used, and whether an ad was shown. We use this to improve game balance and find bugs. Firebase Analytics generates an Instance ID for your device installation; it is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID, or any other personal identifier.
Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends an automatic crash log to Google so we can fix the bug. Crash logs include the device model, iOS version, app version, and a stack trace. They do not include your name, email, game progress, or any personal data. Apple's built-in crash reporting (off by default) is independent and can be controlled in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of Dose Doubler shows ads served by Google AdMob — a banner on the main menu, an occasional interstitial after a game-over, and optional rewarded video ads in exchange for in-game power-ups. By default, ads are served in non-personalized mode: AdMob does not use behavioral targeting and only contextual signals (e.g. the app's content) are used to choose which ad to show. We do not currently request App Tracking Transparency permission, and we do not share an advertising identifier with AdMob for cross-app tracking.
You can remove all ads by purchasing Remove Ads for $2.99 (one-time purchase). Rewarded video ads remain available as an opt-in even after Remove Ads is purchased — they only play if you tap the rewarded power-up button.
In-app purchases
Dose Doubler uses Apple's StoreKit to sell Remove Ads and a handful of cosmetic board themes. Payment is handled entirely by Apple — we never see your credit card, Apple ID, billing address, or any payment information. We only receive the product ID of what you purchased so we can unlock it in the app.
Game Center
Dose Doubler integrates with Apple's Game Center. If you sign in to Game Center, your scores and achievements may be shared with Game Center as part of Apple's platform. This is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, not ours. We do not see, store, or access your Game Center identity or friends list.
Data we do not collect
We do not collect: your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or any biometric data. We do not have a server account system. We do not sell or share data with data brokers. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
Children
Dose Doubler is rated 9+ on the App Store and is not directed at children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Third-party privacy policies
The third-party SDKs referenced above have their own privacy policies:
- Google Privacy Policy (Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, AdMob)
- Apple Privacy Policy (Game Center, StoreKit)
Changes
If our data handling materially changes, we will update this policy and disclose the change in the App Store update notes for the version that ships the change. The version of this policy that applies is whichever was effective on the date of the app version you have installed.
